********Knitted camper van competition********
well its been a while since i wrote a post and in that time i have had a fall out with knitting, then made up with knitting...I've traveled to Cornwall in a motor home, stayed on a farm for a long weekend. It was a lovely place called "come to good" and waking up next to a field of sheep and glorious sun was my idea of heaven :).
The motor home was really lovely too although we did struggle for space as the were four of us in it at time...i almost had a neurological melt down on a few occasions!
however, it was a nice experience. we had fresh eggs for breakfast each morning & spent our time touring the land, come the evening my husband Jinian wilde, played his flutes and guitar as i knitted......it was all rather lovely! Although i had to sleep like a Concertina, as the bed was made for dwarfs...... or double jointed folk, of which i am nether!
The previous weekend i spent in a convent in Suffolk, it was basic and quite and although i was with my colleagues, i felt a million miles away from the world....still, i gained some stillness from it and the food was great.......it was after this over indulgent trip that i decided that i was going to become a gainer of slimness so of i went to a well know club and committed myself to a eating plan .....rehab moment! So one week in, i feel great, im focused and determined to lose this weight and ....drum roll please....I'm 3 1/2 lb lighter...bring on next week i say :) Its time i began to love my body again and this is the 1st step.
So back to crafting, i have seen some amazing pages on facebook and here are a few that have stood out for me..... Bobs place & Our Craft Shops Both are great Networking sites.
Sun N Sparkles who makes wonderful bits, purses, bags etc. this is a wonderful page with some mega cute bits, its a must Ooak-Whimsical-Trolls-and-Fairies-Pixiediddles and this is a funky page, true Handmade crafts Handmade by Bex and as always a Big shout out to The-Handmade-Promise for all there hard work.
I've made a camper van that is 12 inches x 9 inches (approx)
and a miniature camper that is 12 cm x 9 cm, it was the 1st time i have knitted without a pattern and i think it looks so cute....and I'm thinking maybe one of you's would like to win it!!!
All you have to do is
1. become a follower of this blog,
***Please note this competition is open to only followers of this blog, so old or new followers, you can all enter!
2. leave your name and
3. leave a comment at the end of this post.
All your names will go into a hat and picked by a random picker! who ever is chosen will be notified (a notice will be put on the comments) and the Mini camper van will be sent to you....how cool is that!
I'm also just starting a pair of Baby Ugg boots while i still have a dinosaur on the go...true multi tasking!
I've also opened a shop with Esty, there's only a few items for sale at the moment and i will need to get some better photos of the products so its a work in progress..... i always have trouble putting prices on things, so id love some feed back on my prices (too expensive/cheap)
;) so pop by and check it out Craftyz Corner shop.
Anyway you wonderful people I'm off, thanks for popping by and taking the time to have a read and good luck on the Mini Camper competition dont forget to become a follower via the button on the right ...and leave your name and a comment....winner will be drawn 14th June!
*******OK the winner has been drawn by my lovely Grandson.....drum roll please........ So Jojo email me your address ~ you can contact me on singblogger@gmail.com
I like to make lots of things usually with beads and Buttons.. i make jewellery and sell my Button jewellery for Buttons! I often write about life, love and Giraffe ears (the art of listening). I'm also the proud owner of "Dyslexia" & often get my words in a muddle ..When I'm not being "crafty" I'm at Uni being sensible, sort of!

Feathers in a flap!!
wow what a mad month its been...ive been stressed, moody and had no time for crafting...but thats all over now :) till September :D which means i can get my craft on once again!!!
i had a lovely surprise 2 weeks ago i won a competition ran by the lovely Handmade by H, and i was so pleased with my prizes seen below. in fact i was so impressed with the quality of my prizes i have ordered a cuff :) as soon as it arrives i will put up a pic :)
I have managed to make a few bits , i made a Budgie, which took about 2 hours to make and was very easy.
i have also been knitting a Amish Doll, it's traditional not to put a face on the doll. this chap took me ages to knit he is about 14-16 inches tall. although he is great i don't think i would knit him again as i got bored and wished i hadn't started him :( i think he would be better if he was about 7 inches tall, personally..... so i spent ages knitting this chap only for my Dog to chew him up the day after i had finished him!!
i also still have Queenie and her royal flush popping up every so often...bound to happen given that its soon to be jubilee time!
i have also made a few gnomes one of which is seen below, one has been called Norman and is going to hang around in a car as a career :)
i have also made Lady Nibbles, she is to be joined by her Husband lord Nibbles very soon :)
and i also have just started a Knitted camper van for a customer, so hopefully that will be ready in a few weeks ;)
thanks for popping by and i hope you've enjoyed my ramblings :) Button Wilde x ( p.s apologizes for lack of correct grammar and caps etc...but time was limited whilst i wrote this latest Blog )

Karmic Prices & Royal loo!
I've had a wonderful 2 weeks off, and in that time i have decorated an old lampshade, spent time with my lovely grandson, had an visit from one of my daughters on leave from Falmouth Uni (she leaves today) i knitted a gnome, the Queen and shared and shouted about Crafty'z Corner.
So lets start with my Mothers day...i was given the most wonderful gift from Demi, she had been learning guitar for a few months whilst at Uni and had come home to see us all, unknown to me she had practicing a song for me! she and my Husband went into our Vocal Booth and Demi sung & Playing guitar and this was the end result....Demi singing!. It meant so much to me, and she done a great job too!
As mentioned i made a lampshade into a lovely Lampshade, i'm useless at sewing so i thought this would give me some practice.
It also feeds my love of Button visuals, having lots of lovely Buttons around the place helps lift my moods ;)
i have also spent time socializing on line, i have come across some amazing talent and really enjoy the support surrounding my facebook page.
I also had some sales for the knitted bits on my page, im useless with putting prices on things and as i enjoy making things, i decided to have an "offer me fair price" system...that way people offer what they feel is fair and i get to make some lovely bits :).... i also know without a shadow of doubt that if something is done with a Good Energy you will have good energy returned. for me its a Karmic thing too! (a whole new post).
I also made a Mouse for a Twitter friend @wobblymouse and for some customers :)
These mice are so cute, they are approx 4 inches & i really love making them...in fact i'm going to be making onces with there own unique style.
I also made a Gnome who is approx 8 inches top to bottom , only 3 inches when sat, he is cute, i have quite a few orders for this little fella. They are available in different colours and sizes 14,16,18 cm when sat.
mmm now what else have i made?.... oh i made The Queen, not bad for a first attempt, i thought it would be a great idea to knit her a Thrown too but i couldn't find a pattern, however a lovely lady from alithealiencrochet offered to make one for me..so i'm excited and jumping up and down as i wait for it to arrive in the post... anyhow being as nosey as i am i went to look at her craft page and WOW! the woman is a crocheting star... have a look! http://www.alithealien-crochet.co.uk/
Hear is Queenie......
& Here is a photo of her Thrown....pics to follow :) all i need to do now is find the Queen some knickers!
I must say a Big Thank You to The Hand Made Promise, she has been doing some amazing work on face book & Twitter @HandmadePromise. I try to give as many shout outs as i can to them as i really want to keep Handmade crafting live!
I've also had some lovely shout outs from the gorgeous Jeany from meanyjar Her work is really lovely and her Blog is informative, interesting and an inspiration!
why not check out these lovely crafts people ...you will find something for everyone.
Well one last thing...i also spent some time in the Studio last week and i recorded a Adele Song, have a listen Button-singing-lovesong-adele/ i really enjoyed it..as always ;)
Now its almost time for me to get back into university and client work:) so that means less time to make things :( ...until May8th when I'm finished for 12 weeks!!!! (fireworks, flashing lights and cartwheels happening).

Washing line opinions!
I've been walking around watching people over the last few days and it seems to me that we got a lot of suspicious people. I can understand it, i suppose long gone are the days when you could trust your neighbors ect. But honestly i find it sad when people are distrusting of a good deed or honest offer of help....... there is a huge price we are all paying for the dishonest folk in this world!
Anyhow i feel better for saying that.
On a more cheerful note i was sat people watching the other day and my thoughts turned to life and death ;) (has to be one of my fav subjects) i realized that we are all walking through our life carrying our rotten, decaying bodies with us, until we reach the end / beginning (as you can see this is a cheerful post) and i likened our life to that that is seen all across nature, we grow, we bloom, we fade, we die...but from the moment we are existing we are on a decline. i must say my view on all this is probably warped!
Death is so hard to accept, losing someone is one of the worst experience i have ever gone through, but i have grown through it, i have far more respect and patience and appreciation for the here and now than i have ever had and i have learned that memories are life's gift, not a curse.
Back onto people again, i have listened to a few people this week giving their opinions, ^ myself included!! and i had an image of a washing line with clothes (opinions) flapping around in the wind. obviously the clothes (opinions) on the line get changed with time, now depending on how windy it is (their social influence) depends on how much the clothes (their opinions) flap about, sometimes their clothes are not pegged on securely and they just hang (weak opinions), sometimes its so windy their clothes fly off the washing line and head straight into someone else's garden and that is when the trouble starts, when that happens the only thing to do is pick up your clothing and leave,it's NOT your garden and you have NO right airing your laundry in it. <<<< and that is my opinion, my word, thats a paradoxical statement!

Button Ark!
I am the Queen of multi tasking, I have 7 knitting projects on the go, well 3 now as i just finished 4!
Im knitting a purple and green dragon for my lovely husband, a cushion cover that I have been knitting for about 2 months, 3 mice, two for a customer & one for @wobblymouse, (who has a great wobbly mouse Blog ), a pig and a T Rex for my grandson. I must say the T. Rex is a nightmare pattern and it has been a long slow process. the instructions are bonkers so I'm having to use my mind reading skills, (so the T Rex may look more like a green camel, who knows?)...it could also be my knitting skills are still not great as I have only been knitting for a few months :( personally I prefer to believe its the dodge pattern!
....So I'm referring to a great little book as seen below.
I have also been writing up an assignment...that is a working progress, and just in case any of my tutors are following my blog here is proof that I have been working.
It also shows my funky Dyslexic glasses, I am so amazed by the difference the coloured lenses have made, I'm able to remember words and spellings and I read quicker, I have almost halved my study time just by having the cerium lenses. Sadly I have to were them all the time to help with spacial awareness as I was forever banging into things and as I'm short sighted and long sighted I need prescription lenses to see. ( I look like a trippy Susan Boyle with psychodelic shades on!)
Not only have they improved my written work but my knitting has fewer mistakes as im not reading the same lines over and over again ;)
So thats all i have for now but i will be putting up a new post very soon and i will be mentioning some of the crafters from our face book page Crafty'z corner, pop over and show your work off and you may get a shout out on here - and this Blog feeds into my Twitter account the singing blogger so all my followers will have access to your work too ;) why am i doing this i here you ask, one, i get more interaction on here and two, i really enjoy sharing all your crafty makes.....so why not?

Elle Flump & Button Bags
Well as promised the Post is here, its always a bit of a mad rush on Tuesdays as i leave the house at 7 in the morning and get home between 5-7 in the evening. by the time I've done dinner and sat down, got my paperwork in order for Wednesdays, my brain is fried. However it good to be alive, especially after I had a little "Tango" with cancer a few years ago, I decided dying was not my cup of tea, esp not at 34! so I spend my time practice pulling the Law of attraction to & fro, keeping the positive kind energies flowing throughout my days :) and It works.
Anyway this week i've spent some time sharing my face book page Crafty'z Corner, i've liked lots of Handmade pages and offered to give a shout out to anyone who shares on my page and a few have! One page that i have liked does a lot of good work spreading the crafting love around, its a great place and has many lovely crafted items on show, have a look! The-Handmade-Promise.
Its been lovely to see other crafters makes. I had a pic posted from Lacewings, they make some wonderful crochet bits, that look good enough to eat, so pop over and say Hi. I also had LadyK.Toppers pop by, they do fab card toppers so if your into card craft then id have a look at these. we also had a visit from MyCraftyHobbie making lovely jewellery, And some supper cute little animal figures from animalcrackers73 there were a lot of likes to many to link to them all but if you got to my Crafty'z Corner page you will see all the lovely people and there crafts :) PLEASE MENTION CRAFTY'Z CORNER AND HELP SPREAD THE WORD SO I CAN KEEP GIVING SHOUT OUTS :)
So on to me, time has been a bit tight this week but I've made a little elephant who i've called "Elle Flump" bits of her anatomy can be seen disembodied below!
I also found a wonderful camper van egg cosy knitting pattern, i fell in love and purchased it from VW-Camper-Van-Stuff-at-Snuginadub, the pattern is clear and easy so i will be finishing this off tonight and i plan to get busy crafting since i have 2 weeks off of Uni!
**** UPDATE. Egg cosy finished it took about 1-2 hours and was very easy, a great pattern & great service from VW-Camper-Van-Stuff-at-Snuginadub i love it ! what do you think?
I treated myself to a bag last week, one that will hold my copious amounts of wool . i've been looking for a few weeks but found nothing i liked...until i come across this page Emmas-Sewing-Crafts, Emma was very helpful esp with my lack of ability in the measurement department! the service was quick and Emma even customized my bag with Buttons, (id love to have a bath full of Buttons). So why not pop over and have a peek at some of her Bags :)
Well folks, my tired brain is about to switch off, i will be uploading my V.W egg cosy as soon as i make it along with a post about life choices as seen through the eyes of Button Wilde.
Thanks for dropping by and if you want to see some real talent check out those links.
